Sending the exact amount on the right network

A checklist for manual transfers, so the full total arrives at the right address on the first try.

Most delays with manual transfers come from three things: the wrong network, a missing exchange fee, or a typo in the address. This checklist avoids all three.

Before you send

  • Match the network. If the page says TRC20, send on TRC20. The same token on another network goes to a different place and may be lost.
  • Copy, do not type. Use the copy button or the QR code for the address. Check the first and last four characters after pasting.
  • Copy the total. Use Copy next to the total so you send the exact figure, with cents.
  • Check who pays the fee. Plenty of exchanges shave their withdrawal fee off what you send. Where yours does, increase the amount by that fee.

While it is sending

Keep the wallet or exchange page open until you can see the TXID. Some exchanges show it only after the withdrawal has left their system.

After you send

Paste the TXID straight away and send the request. If you forget, the payment cannot be matched to your request.

Keep a record

Save the TXID and, if possible, a screenshot of the completed transfer. They help if anything needs checking.

If something went wrong

Do not send a second payment to make up for a mistake. Open a ticket first, with the request reference and the TXID. See If the amount or network was wrong.
